About

Building Food Independence and Sustainable Living with Biodome Caribbean

At Biodome Caribbean, our primary objective is to provide a sustainable food security solution that addresses the pressing challenges of climate change. Founded in 2002, we are committed to creating innovative, environmentally responsible ecosystems that support both plant life and communities. Through our advanced biodome structures, we offer a sustainable approach to growing food, promoting biodiversity, and reducing energy consumption. Our mission is to empower individuals, businesses, and communities with the tools to thrive in the face of a changing climate, ensuring a healthier, more resilient future for all.

Our Story

Founded in 2002, Biodome Caribbean was established with a clear mission: to provide sustainable solutions that address the growing challenges of climate change, particularly in the Caribbean. Island nations in this region are particularly vulnerable to natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, and volcanoes, which strain food production systems, disrupt communities, and damage infrastructure. In response, we created a model that not only supports food security but also builds resilience in the face of these environmental challenges.

Our approach combines innovation with sustainability. One of the most pressing global issues today is that nearly 50% of the world’s energy consumption is dedicated to heating and cooling. At Biodome Caribbean, we tackle this challenge head-on. Our biodomes feature cutting-edge passive cooling architecture that harnesses natural environmental forces, reducing the need for energy-intensive climate control. This sustainable design ensures that optimal conditions for plant growth are maintained while lowering global energy consumption and offering a climate-conscious alternative to traditional structures.

We believe that plants play a critical role in mitigating climate change. Our biodomes offer ideal micro-environments for a variety of tropical and indigenous plant species, promoting biodiversity and contributing to ecological balance. These resilient environments also support food security, urban greening, and sustainable agriculture. By providing a safe, controlled space where plants can thrive, we help communities in the Caribbean and beyond to build more sustainable food systems in the face of an ever-changing climate.

By integrating green technology with nature, Biodome Caribbean offers a vision for the future—one where food security is strengthened, energy consumption is reduced, and ecosystems flourish. Join us in our mission to create resilient, energy-efficient, and sustainable environments—one biodome at a time.
